This Privacy Policy explains how BlackAds ("BlackAds," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information across two things we offer:
- our advertising and marketing agency services, offered through blackads.com; and
- the BlackAds SEO dashboard, a self-serve SEO tool offered through app.blackads.com (the "App").
By using either, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information you give us directly
When you contact us, request a proposal, or engage us for advertising or marketing services, we collect what you provide — typically your name, business name, email address, phone number, and details about your business and goals.
1.2 Information from Google Sign-In
To use the App, you sign in with Google. We receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google as part of standard authentication. We do not receive your Google password.
1.3 Google Search Console data
When you connect a website to the App, we request read-only access to that site's Google Search Console data through Google's Search Console API. This includes the site properties you have verified access to, and performance data such as search queries, clicks, impressions, click-through rate, and average ranking position. We do not request or receive write access, and we cannot make changes to your Search Console account or your website through this connection.
1.4 Account & usage data
We store the sites you connect, the SEO tasks, recommendations, audit findings, and tracked keywords the App generates or you create, and basic session information (such as a session token stored in a cookie) needed to keep you signed in. We may also collect standard technical log data — IP address, browser type, device type, and timestamps — for security and troubleshooting.
1.5 Client advertising data (agency clients)
If you engage BlackAds for paid advertising management, you may grant us access to advertising accounts (for example, Google Ads or Meta Ads Manager) so we can manage campaigns on your behalf. We only use that access for the scope of work agreed with you, and the advertising accounts and any funds in them remain yours — we don't take ownership of client ad accounts.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the App and our agency services.
- To generate SEO recommendations, audits, and keyword tracking based on your connected site's data.
- To manage advertising campaigns on behalf of agency clients, per the scope agreed with each client.
- To communicate with you about your account, your campaigns, or support requests.
- To keep the App and our services secure and working correctly.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your data to serve you third-party ads, and we do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Information
We don't sell your data. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run the App and our business — currently our hosting and database provider (Hostinger) and, for AI-generated SEO recommendations, Anthropic's Claude API. These providers only receive the data needed to perform their function for us.
- Google, solely to authenticate you and to read Search Console data you've authorized, as described above.
- Advertising platforms (e.g. Google Ads, Meta), only for agency clients, and only to the extent needed to manage the campaigns you've engaged us to run.
- Legal or safety reasons, if required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BlackAds, our users, or others.
- A successor, if BlackAds is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4. Google API Services User Data Policy
BlackAds' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:
- We only request read-only access to the Search Console data needed to power your SEO dashboard.
- We do not use this data to serve advertisements.
- We do not sell, transfer, or share this data with third parties except as described in this policy or with your consent.
- We do not allow humans to read this data except to provide the features you use, for security purposes, to comply with law, or with your consent.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you disconnect a site or delete your account, associated site data, tasks, recommendations, audit findings, and tracked keywords are removed. To request deletion of your account or data, email us at info@blackads.com.
6. Cookies
The App uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls on our database. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
8. Children's Privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and business representatives, not children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
9. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us at info@blackads.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of our services after a change means you accept the updated policy.
